A History: Eveline and Robert Schuyff bought 40-acre 'Glyn Newydd' in the Valley in 2001. The previous graziers land needed a much work in preparation for olives. Favouring an organic approach, the couple started to green manure and slowly build up the soil. In 2003, 500 olive trees were planted, along with 500 olive trees at neighbouring Yuranda. The trees have since grown strong and produced their first crop in 2006. Due to the climate and higher altitude of 700m, the olives ripen slowly, allowing optimum flavour to develop. The organic culture enhances the flavour further, resulting in high quality olives and oil.
